The Teen Mother Choices Program and How YOU can bring one to your community!
The first Teen Mother Choices Program began serving teen mothers who had given birth and who were parenting their children in northern Illinois in 1989. Since then, communities throughout the United States and Canada have brought the Teen Mother Choices Program to their own communities.
Serving Each Community UniquelyEvery Teen Mother Choices Program is built on four foundational services:
Volunteer OpportunitiesTeen Mother Choices Programs rely on volunteers to get the job done! Below you will find just a few of the many volunteer opportunities. |
Lifeskills Workshops™ Speaker – An individual who shares his/her knowledge about a particular skill.
Meal Provider – An individual, family or small group who prepares a healthy meal for the teen mothers and their children. The meal is served prior to the weekly Lifeskills Workshop™.

Childcare Provider – An individual or small group who provides childcare for the children while their mothers are in weekly Lifeskills Workshops™.
Financial Supporter – An individual, family or church who is lead to financially support this program on a recurring basis or through a one-time gift.
