TMCI Training Process
TMCI, with its 26 years of direct service to teen moms, has created a training and equipping method called The TMCI Training Process (Learning Management System Website). The TMCI Training Process is designed for individuals interested in serving teen moms between the ages of 13 and 23 years, in their community by creating a Teen Mother Choices Program.
The TMCI Training Process takes a holistic approach to serving teen moms by addressing the five lofe roles of a teen mom:
- Teenager
- Mother
- Student
- Employee
- Seeker
Our training process is NOT a turn-key curriculum that you can implement over a short period of time. It is designed to encourage the trainee:
- To build relationships within their community.
- Determine the specific needs of the teen mothers they will serve.
- Shape the program to meet those particular needs. As you can imagine, the needs of a rural community are vastly different from those in an urban setting.
While the TMCI Training Process is designed to assist you and your church or organization in clarifying your vision for serving teen moms, it will require a significant commitment of time and energy on your part. There are three (3) steps in the TMCI Training Process: The Readiness Survey, The Feasibility Study and The Licensee Director Manual. Successful completion of all three steps will allow you to become a TMCI Licensee.
Readiness Survey - no cost
The Readiness Survey is a short online survey designed to help you begin thinking about the kinds of services and resources the teen moms in your community need. It will also help TMCInternational get to know you and your community better. To begin the Readiness Survey, please click here to go to our Learning Management site. It will take you approximately 15 - 20 minutes to complete.Feasibility Study - $300
After filling out the Readiness Survey and conversing with our staff about your results, you may choose to move on to the Feasibility Study. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL WORK BEGINS! Once TMCInternational has received your payment for the Feasibility Study, you will be granted access to the online Feasibility Study located on the same Learning Management site as the Readiness Survey. TMCI will connect you with a Development Coach who will guide you through the Feasibility Study. Your Development Coach will be available to answer questions and provide feedback through phone calls and emails. The Feasibility Study will take approximately 3 - 6 months to complete.
When you have completed the Feasibility Study, you and your Development Coach will discuss how you should proceed with the information you've gathered and where God may be leading you. If the Feasibility Study has inspired you to follow God's leading to develop a Teen Mother Choices Program in your community, TMCInternational will encourage you to to begin working on The TMCI Licensee Director Manual.
TMCI Licensee Director Manual - $2,700
Should God be leading you to begin a Teen Mother Choices Program in your community, the third and final step in your training is, The TMCI Licensee Director Manual. As with your Feasibility Study, the same Development Coach will assist you through all the steps it will take to get your program up and running. We will provide you with access to our online Licensee Director Manual. Before receiving access to the Licensee Director Manual we will email you a copy of the TMCI Licensee Agreement and Copyright Aggreement for you to sign and return along with your payment.
The Licensee Director Manual has all the information and instruction you will need to develop a Teen Mother Choices Program. The cost includes step by step guidance, support and encouragement from your Development Coach. Included in the Licensee Director Manual are training materials for:
- Understanding Teen Mothers
- Basic Administration
- Raising Awareness
- Fundraising
- Developing Mentors
- Managing Volunteers
- From Application to Graduation
- Setting Goals with Teen Mothers
- Developing Lifeskills Workshops™
It will take approximately 9 - 12 months to complete the TMCI Licensee Director Manual.

Our role is to provide you with the training that is based on 26 years of direct service, but it is your responsibility to know your community and to do the hard work in it.
