What We Believe

TMCI believes the Church (the world-wide community of people submitting to the authority of God’s Word, the Bible) is uniquely qualified to care for young mothers who bravely chose to give their children life and then made the choice to parent their children.   By reaching out and serving teen moms the Church will impact the local community for change!

TMCI Believes…

• everyone within a local church congregation has some type of resource (time, talent or treasure) to offer a teen mom. (1 Peter 4:10)
• the older women within the congregation should serve as Mentors to teen mom. (Titus 2:3-4)
• by assisting teen moms so they can become independently functioning members of society, the church is letting its light shine brightly for the whole world to see. (John 5:16)
• when working with teen moms in any crisis, problem or difficult situation, the solution can be found in God’s Word, the Bible. (2 Tim. 3:16)

TMCI adheres to the National Association of Evangelical’s Statement of Faith:

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this
5. salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works.
6. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to
7. perform good works.
8. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
9. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
